Scheduled Hours37.5Position SummaryThis is a six to eight month, time-limited, in-person position which primarily supports the OISS Scholar and Advising Team. Responsibilities include answering walk-in queries, processing immigration-related requests (J-1, H-1B, TN and E-3), and managing correspondence with USCIS, including mailing petitions and approval notices. The role also involves issuing important immigration documents to scholars, maintain office supplies, providing event support, collecting data on office traffic, and keeping records and training materials up to date. Additionally, the job includes managing the Scholar Shared drive and data entry to TerraDotta.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Verifies, inputs and updates employee and stipend recipient information related to payroll and tax benefits into Washington University's Foreign National Information System (FNIS) and Workday.
  • Verifies, inputs and updates information related to foreign nationals enrolled, employed or visiting Washington University into Terra Dotta.
  • Provides dedicated administrative support to international scholar advising services, including (but not limited to) preparation of intake requests, and posting labor application notices.
  • Assists with data cleaning and data correction projects within FNIS and Terra Dotta.
  • Answers questions related to data entered in FNIS.
