DUTIES:
The Administrative Assistant in the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) supports the operational needs of the department and ongoing logistical support of credit and non-credit programming in response to identified community needs and in support of the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. This position also provides general administrative support, while exercising discretion, to the administrator of a department or division of the institution or to the administrator of multiple institution programs, services, and activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma
* Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
* Valid driver's license
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
* One year or more of professional office experience.
* Experience working with a variety of educational programs (specifically, a higher education setting).
* Experience with UW-Superior's policies and procedures.
* Experience with registration and scheduling software (For example, Peoplesoft and CVENT software).
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to plan and organize resources effectively.
* Self-motivated and can solve problems creatively.
* Ability to multi-task and work independently.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain constructive relationships.
* Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
* Interpersonal Skills: must have ability to stay calm under pressure, as well as have a problem-solving attitude and the ability to compromise.
* Communication Skills: must have the ability to work with a wide range of people (both internally and externally). Effective written and communication skills.
* Management Skills: Must be able to efficiently organize time to gracefully meet any tight deadlines.
* Ability to drive a vehicle for the purpose of conducting university business and meet the criteria for operation of state-owned-vehicles - Policy 615
