Primary Purpose:
Organize, manage, and coordinate the routine work activities of the central administrative department office and provide clerical support to the director and other staff members
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
* High school diploma or approved equivalent.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks and Skyward software experience preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, inside and outside, of the organization
* Must possess strong math and organizational skills
* Must be able to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, do word processing, have knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
* Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities
Experience:
* 3 years secretarial experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, manuals, and presentations for the department head and other department staff members.
* Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
* Answer and respond to incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff.
* Assist with scheduling catering events and billing of appropriate parties.
* Maintain a schedule of appointments for the director and administrative staff.
* Make meeting arrangements for department activities including preparing materials, scheduling and setting up facilities, and arranging equipment.
* Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department staff.
* Make appointments for interviews and receive visitors to the Student Nutrition office.
* Assist the Director of Student Nutrition with employee recommendations, placement, employee training and evaluations.
* Compile employee information and submit concession payroll for all events.
* Track maintenance expenses and inventory of equipment for all campuses.
* Track all assets for Student Nutrition Department and ensures all items are tagged appropriately.
* Assist with campus employee and concession volunteer training as needed.
* Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, customer and department information.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. basic visual projection and sound equipment, scheduling program

Salary: Pay Grade AS04, $19.29 - $23.05 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule Days: 226
