Shifts:M-F 7:30am - 4pmPay Range: $18.06 - $28.89 (actual offer rates are based upon the applicants relevant job experience and the requirements of the position) The Administrative Assistant:
  • Answers electronic communications and phone calls, directing calls to appropriate parties or takes messages. Calls patients and physicians concerning appointment issues or insurance concerns.
  • Schedules patient appointments and manages patient schedules, and visitor logs.
  • Performs office duties such as creating and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files; ordering supplies; sorting and distributing mail, including faxes and emails.
  • Creates and sends variety of materials, including monthly reports, memos, and letters and recommends changes when appropriate.
  • Has the ability to submit and process insurance claims for authorization.
  • Responds promptly and appropriately to questions/concerns/complaints and attempts immediate resolution.
  • Collects, correlates, and communicates metrics to pertinent parties to include the HUH Cancer Registry.
  • Serves as a liaison and communicator to other departments to include pharmacy, billing, physicians, and other involved service lines to ensure patient receives appropriate care.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area.
  • Reviews and ensure accuracy of employee UKG payroll entry.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or two (2) years of college or business school. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Four (4) years of related secretarial experience
