JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant

REPORTS TO: Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent training or experience

* Minimum experience as determined by the board

* Fluency in Google platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

* Knowledge of automated office equipment and efficient office procedures

* Good telephone skills and ability to communicate effectively

* Digital fluency is required.

* Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment

JOB GOAL:

To provide a high level of confidential administrative support to the principal, as well as carry out all administrative assistant and clerical duties necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the office and building.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Act as school office manager, by indirectly overseeing office staff and maintaining and organizing office operations and procedures.

* Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence.

* Performs usual office routines.

* Ability to compose correspondences, notices and reports.

* Maintains a well-organized, up-to-date filing system.

* Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office.

* Arranges meetings, prepares agendas and handles follow-up activities as necessary.

* Assists, logs in, and directs visitors.

* Maintain Safe Schools; track mandatory annual training.

* Arranges substitute and class coverages

* Maintains faculty/staff attendance including scheduling and coordination of faculty/staff coverage.

* Create and maintain yearly schedules.

* Manage/distribute classroom keys, employee keyfobs, employee ID's, and radios.

* Maintains Megan's Law book.

* Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate.

* Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned by the principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year to be determined as mutually agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
