Job Description:

Title: Administrative Assistant Contract: 01 Month (Possible of Extension) Location : New York City, NY 10281 Typical Day in Role: • Pick-up, sort and deliver interoffice mail by departments throughout the day in accordance with guidelines. • Assist in the daily opening and sorting of incoming mail received from the U.S. Post Office, Fed Ex, DHL, and various couriers, and deliver to recipients. • Deliver and pick-up securities, checks, deposits and other documents from various agencies, banks, clients and brokerage firms, in a timely and efficiently. • Ensure that all supplies required for efficient mail room operations are available as needed. • Be familiar with pricing, and location reliability of all courier services to ensure the most cost efficient and reliable service. • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints. • Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities. • Compute, record and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems. Must haves: 1. 0-2 years administrative/customer service-related experience required. 2. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Nice to have: 1. Second language an asset (French, Spanish, etc) 2. Advanced computer skills
