Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist is the supportive force that empowers the administrative team at the Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW). This position is responsible for supporting the operations of HOFV by being an outstanding partner in guest and tenant services. The ideal person will be a proactive and independent problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail. This individual should have previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative and receptionist duties, and providing support to management. Given the changing nature of the executive landscape, HOFV relies on administrative staff for flexibility and foresight, while maintaining confidences related to high-level systems and operations. This position can be filled full-time or part-time, but is primarily Monday-Friday position with variable hours from time to time. Position Objectives:
  • Provide support to the HOFV Team as directed to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished.
  • Assist with communication between employees, liaising with internal and external management on various projects and tasks.
  • Plan and orchestrate work to ensure that priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.
  • Answer incoming calls to the company's main phone line.
  • Greet guests visiting the office with professionalism and care.
  • Manage professional and personal scheduling for management, including agendas, mail, email, calls, travel arrangements, client management, and other company logistics.
  • Coordinate complex scheduling and extensive calendar management, as well as management of content and flow of information to management.
  • Manage, coordinate, and arrange travel and travel-related activities, including hotel booking, transportation, and meal coordination as needed.
  • Perform administrative and office support, such as typing, spreadsheet creation, and maintenance of filing systems.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, and exercise discretion when interfacing with the business.
  • Assist in logistics in the Canton area as it relates to support to the business team.
  • Organize team communications and plan events, both internally and offsite as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.
HOURLY/NON-EXEMPT Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Consistent performance exhibiting a high level of initiative, sense of urgency, extreme attention to detail, quick learning capability, common sense, and ability to problem-solve.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills including polished written and verbal communication and comprehension.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint-and comfortable with learning new technology platforms.
  • Proactive/self-starter with the ability to work effectively and remain organized in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time-management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and coordinate multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.
Physical Requirements for Position:
  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
  • The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
  • Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
  • Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
