We are seeking a proactive and organized Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our geotechnical shop. The successful candidate will assist the Operations Manager in ensuring that all administrative and logistical needs of the shop are met. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and organization of our shop's supply chain, equipment management, and overall operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Operations Manager with administrative tasks, ensuring that all operational demands of the shop are efficiently managed.
  • Supply Management: Order, maintain, and organize shop supplies to ensure that all necessary materials are available and properly stored.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Prepare equipment and materials for shipment and ensure proper receipt and storage of incoming equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Abide by and enforce all company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager to support shop operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licenses: Clean drivers license is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in forklift operations (training will be provided).
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience: Prior experience in the construction industry is an asset but not required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that involve regular lifting, bending, and other physical activities.
Additional Information:

Salary Range: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
