Description Are you ready for your next challenge?Leidos Digital Modernization team is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the AFNCR IT Services program in National Military Command Center at The Pentagon in Arlington, VA. As the Administrative Assistant, you will manage activities contributing to the successful execution of Air Force National Capitol Region Information Technology Services program.We are seeking an experienced person with demonstrated office management expertise, superior professional demeanor, and the ability to learn and accomplish a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities that ensure program success. Key attributes include initiative, attention to detail as well as critical thinking to identify and prioritize actions to assist the federal program managers to be successful in achieving program goals. Ability to work in professional manner with a variety of teams supporting the organization a must.What will you do in this role?
  • Using advanced computer skills, including information management, data management, setting up, and troubleshooting electronic processes to streamline procedures.
  • Managing and scheduling meetings and action tracking for various groups and technical support teams, arranging classified, and unclassified conferences and meetings. Scheduling, arranging and hosting virtual meetings on Teams, and other platforms.
  • Working with Federal and contract staff to oversee quality deliverables and project action tracking on time.
  • Assist with reviewing and compiling program execution metrics using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Managing a wide range of management and administrative duties (calendars. correspondence, organization charts, telephone lists) in support of the office. Manage office calendars and schedules. Attend office meetings, prioritize action items, draft, and disseminate meeting minutes.
  • Serve as primary peer reviewer for staff technical documents by proofreading, editing, and formatting.
  • Facilitating correspondence and communication, including preparing briefings, memos, and correspondence with minimal oversight, and accurately composing and preparing effective correspondence and reports.
  • Managing classified and unclassified documents within AFNCR NMCC SharePoint Portal.
  • Protect integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of records following established procedures.
  • Serve as office courier, transporting, protecting, and ensuring proper disposal of classified material and media. Collect classified burn bags and deliver them to the designated area.
  • Managing physical security of classified safe and administering security procedures for access to controlled areas. Implement security measures by preparing and submitting applications for access to controlled areas. Maintain a daily log of personnel authorized entry into open storage space.
  • Prepare and submit building visitor access and NMCC badge requests to the appropriate office for all new hires.
  • Guide new employees through the onboarding process. Assist nominated employees through the completion of documents for SCI level access
  • Maintaining attention to detail in a multi-project, teamwork environment, with potential frequent interruptions, with competing needs requiring a clear understanding of prioritization.
  • Maintaining awareness of and competence in headquarters communication and information sharing initiatives.
  • Ability to exercise mature judgment and make independent decisions following established policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment; interacting with a range of federal and contractor staffBasic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 8+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
    • U.S. Citizenship with an Active DoD Top Secret clearance, and possess or be eligible for SCI level access
    • Experience working in classified and unclassified environments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience developing briefings.
    • Familiar with military documentation and correspondence
    • Must possess demonstrated professionalism, customer service focus, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and MS Excel) with particular emphasis on word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and WebEx meeting management and execution.
    • Experience with administering security processes that ensured security and integrity of classified systems, hardware and data in accordance with established procedures.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Related experience in a government, DOE, or military office.
