POSITION SUMMARY: The Programs Management & Compliance Administrative Assistant will provide support to housing and community development programs and processes administered by the York County Planning Commission Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years' experience.
  • Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills required along with proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work professionally with staff, the public, and other outside agencies.
  • Must submit to a County background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Additional education or experience desirable.
  • Working knowledge of PA local government.

  • Assist with client scheduling, program applications and customer service inquiries.
  • Assist with program outreach and education.
  • Management of division staff and training calendars.
  • Provide meeting support and transcription.
  • Organize and maintain file systems.
  • Data entry, and document and report creation.
  • Prepare client and program correspondence.
  • General clerical and support responsibilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies of programs and projects, as well as any relevant laws, regulations, or funding requirements.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing this position, the noise level may be minimal to moderate, and the temperature may vary. Physical tasks may include walking, bending, lifting, going up and down stairs, utilizing technology equipment such as desktop computers, laptop computers, telephone, printers/copiers, etc. Possible offsite workshop/training events and meetings. Remote work and flexible start time may be available.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to read, speak, hear, and write in English and perform basic mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient with Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to utilize email and internet for business needs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
