Location: Amherst, NYSchedule: 20 hours per week, between Monday - Friday, between 8am- 5pmPosition Summary: The Administrative Assistant to the physician is responsible for enhancing the physician's productivity by handling personal administrative tasks, managing personal schedules, and facilitating communication. Responsibilities of Position:
  • Handles personal administrative and clerical tasks for the physician
  • Assists with scheduling appointments and coordinating personal calendar
  • Communicates with physician's Medical Secretary when information or tasks overlap or when scheduling occurs during clinic hours
  • Help schedule and coordinate external meetings, ensuring the physician is prepared with necessary materials and agendas
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
  • Other clerical duties as assigned and requested

  • Word, Excel, and general computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving

Required Education
  • High School Diploma
Working Conditions: Sedentary work - sitting majority of shift
  • Walking and standing are required only occasionally
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for majority of shift
  • Requires use of hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone keyboard
Compensation:
  • Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range
  • Rates are commensurate with experience
