St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. The School of Arts and Sciences is the largest of the Schools at Fisher, offering degrees in over 20 undergraduate disciplines. The School is home to over 1,000 undergraduate students majoring in the humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, social sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. In addition, the School is primarily responsible for the Core Curriculum, the program of liberal arts courses that all undergraduates take as central to their academic experience. In addition to attending graduate school in any number of disciplines, graduates of the School of Arts and Sciences pursue careers in such fields as marketing, medicine, law, broadcasting, sales, human resource management, advertising and public relations, social work, media relations, information analysis, and scientific research and analysis.

Job Responsibilities

? 70% provide clerical support to SAS departmental chairs and program directors as assigned;

? 10% - Special projects as assigned (budgets, travel arrangements)

? 10% - Data Entry

? 5% - Answering telephone, emails, mail/package distribution copyediting materials for the Dean's office.

Individual should have sufficient training in Microsoft programs, Banner, Blackboard, and other office friendly software and have experience working in a high level clerical position and/or as an office manager.

Competencies / Skills

This person must be very organized, able to multi-task, and manage time efficiently. Must be able to work through unexpected interruptions and changes in priority of jobs. Must be able to learn new technologies quickly.
