The Outpatient department is seeking an Administrative Assistant who excels in providing top notch customer service along with an excellent ability to multi-task and problem solve. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing the front desk, providing administrative support and assisting the Office Manager with completing various tasks to ensure operational efficiency. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge in office procedures, required
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and report writing
  • Must hold a valid, current VA Driver's License and be insurable to drive a company vehicle
  • In-office position. Physical attendance, required.
  • MA certification is a plus, but not required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Genuine passion to help others evident by strong customer service skills.
  • Greet and assist patients, providers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with directing calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Schedule appointments and assist Office Manager with ensuring provider productivity.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
  • Data entry and update records in EHR
  • Attend and participate in meetings to review and improve administrative functions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.
