Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant works as secretary to the Director of Instruction and coordinates communications between
Instructional Administrators, District and site personnel, Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Staff, Parents, Students, and the
public. Develop and maintain efficient office management techniques and ensure that the district's daily and long-term
administrative requirements are met.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Excellent secretarial skills including expertise Google Suite
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A high degree of organizational skills.
* Ability to prioritize and handle diverse tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team as circumstances require.
* Ability to take the initiative, exercise sound judgment and make decisions within scope of his/her authority.
* Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Experience working in an office environment.
* Ability to relate to adolescents and use discretion in dealing with them.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative/secretarial support for the instructional departments at central administration
* Coordinate professional development logistics and planning to vendors and participants
* Maintain and update instructional tracking and processes for multiple deliverables and workstreams
* Learn, apply and explain school and District policies, rules and objectives.
* Utilize various computer software programs, including ASPEN and Google Drive applications, for District and school
functions.
* Create enrollment and registration processes, confirmations and material distribution to multiple participants across
multiple opportunities
* Manage and track multiple purchase orders and invoices across multiple vendors for multiple projects
* Ability to adhere to required deadlines.
* Other duties as deemed necessary by the District and/or the Director of Instruction
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, and/or Portuguese
* Knowledge of funding sources, processes and projects pertinent to urban educational K-12 settings
Salary/Wage:
Pursuant to the Everett Public Unit C Administrative Assistant Contract.
