Job Title: Administrative AssistantJob Description
The Administrative Assistant performs routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative work. This includes answering telephones, providing customer assistance, data processing, record-keeping, and supporting various administrative HR needs.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and answer the central telephone system, directing calls accordingly.
+ Prepare outgoing mail and sort and distribute incoming mail.
+ Receive the public and answer questions, both in person and by telephone.
+ Operate office machines as required.
+ Duplicate and distribute materials.
+ Type and edit correspondence, reports, and other materials.
+ Support Human Resources and Accounting by completing data entry and filing as needed.
+ Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies.
+ Serve as Administrative Assistant to the President.
+ Perform other duties as directed.
Essential Skills
+ Administrative assistance experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
+ Experience in an industrial or services environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic HR experience is a plus.
+ Experience as an Office Manager or Clerical Assistant.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Work Environment
The administrative building is separate from the plant. The location has around 60 total employees, with 5 employees in the office/admin area. The environment is relaxed and not too noisy. The job requires working Monday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a paid 1/2 hour lunch. The dress code is business casual (jeans are okay, no t-shirts, and closed-toe shoes are required).
