This position will provide general office support for various clerical activities, including answering incoming calls and organizing office communication on a day-to-day basis. The Administrative Assistant PHP will possess excellent communication skills and proper phone etiquette with the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the clinical and medical staff with their requests.
- Triage and process telephone calls for multiple types of patients and services.
- Check insurance eligibility and benefits for all patients daily.
- Referral tracking and authorizations.
- Follow established processes/procedures for handling cash receipts and completing the weekly deposit.
- Schedule new client referrals for multiple programs.
- Availability to cover all positions at the site and occasional coverage at other outpatient sites may be required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
- Education: High School Diploma. A degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting or Health Care Administration is preferred, although work experience in a medical office at a suitable level of responsibility may be substituted.
- Experience: Working experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word). EMR experience preferred.
- Skills: Solid computer skills. Proficient typing skills with a minimum of 50 wpm. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
