Job Summary

The Rhode Island Industrial Assessment Center (RI-IAC) at the Community College of Rhode Island is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the center's daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the center.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in managing the center's administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping

* Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events for the center staff

* Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, and provide appropriate responses or direct them to the relevant staff members

* Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed

* Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

* Assist in managing the center's social media accounts and website content

* Collaborate with the center's team members to support various projects and initiatives

* Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the center director or supervisor

Minimum Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent

Competencies

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree

* Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Knowledge of basic office equipment and procedures

* Experience with social media management is a plus
