Job Description:

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, 501c3, our mission is to provide affordable, accessible, quality health care to the people of Northern New Mexico. El Centro Family Health is seeking a Full-time (40 hours per week) Administrative Assistant dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

An ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

* Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

* Attention to detail.

* Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Knowledge and fluent skills of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for communicating verbally with co-workers, patients and clients, and members of the public. Employee may be required to speak in Spanish. Such communication must be correct, clear, and understandable. Position requires attention to detail, ability to relate information elements, and ability to evaluate discrepancies in information and documents using defined instructions or sources of information. Employees are not delegated authority to commit the company in the expenditure of funds or in the adoption of changes in policy or procedure. Because the employee has access to confidential information regarding individual patients and their families, staff and ECFH an essential job result is the maintenance of a high level of confidentiality of the information processed by the employee. Violation of this confidence may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment. An essential job result is accurate and reliable work products. Errors by the employee may result in patient and employee inconvenience and dissatisfaction. Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision, but work and communicate well with others when required, follow directions and be well organized, and have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and know how to work fax and copy machines.

Minimum requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of six months experience of a clerical nature in an office environment.

Other Qualification Requirements: Ability to drive to outlying locations requires valid drivers' license, safe driving record, and proof of auto insurance
