Position: Administrative Assistant

Location: Raleigh, NC

Pay: $20/hour

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years related work experience.
  • Preferred candidates will have prior experience, education, or interest in law enforcement, criminal justice, or government services.

Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent experience

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Greene Resources is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director – Criminal Justice Programs, assisting with Courthouse Security assessments, Traumatic Incident Response, the Statewide Disaster Assistance Network, and other programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for criminal justice programs and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, and distributing monthly reports and program-related correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support for the Traumatic Incident Response Program, including coordinating burial flags, display cases, and prepaid debit cards.
  • Work with sheriff's offices to format and review courthouse security assessment reports.
  • Research policies related to the Office of the Sheriff and the criminal justice system in North Carolina.
  • Manage the Scholarship Program, including maintaining records, sending reminders, and updating awardee information on the website.
  • Enter and process data in the SMCP records database.
  • Provide administrative support for the Statewide Misdemeanant Confinement Program, including maintaining and auditing files.
  • Assist with logistics for SMCP training classes, including basic A/V set-up, and travel out of town for training events.
  • Compile and arrange course materials for training sessions.

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge and ability to create, edit, and format excel spreadsheets and PDF files
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
