PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To manage the front desk operations of the clinic.I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and check clients' in/out for appointments, collect co-pays
- Coordinate and schedule appointments
- Answer phones, respond to emails/faxes
- Answer clients' queries and ensure quality customer service
- Update and maintain client records; document in EHR; data entry
- Assist patients with initial paperwork
- Work with insurance companies for authorization and billing.
- Work collaboratively with clinic staff
- Performs all duties as assigned

III. WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position is office based, evenings and weekends
- Administrative Assistant may and will be required to provide coverage for other programs as needed.
IV. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- This position performs a wide variety of routine clerical/administrative task for a mental health clinic. Must be able to manage clients and respond to crisis as needed with the support of the clinicians on site.
V. QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience performing general clerical work/administrative task.
- Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
- Understanding of managed care or Medicaid/Medicare, preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word, excel, outlook, etc.) required.
- Database management experience required.
- Tech savvy & proficiency in general office equipment operation required.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writing
- Learn office methods, rules, policies, ordinances and resolutions
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Customer service-oriented attitude.
