Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) envisions a world where children are safe, families are strong and communities are vibrant.LSF is looking for a talented Administrative Assistant who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.Purpose & Impact:Complete all work assignments provided by assigned supervisor, have general knowledge of office procedures and equipment; and handle assignments with various levels of difficulty.Essential Functions:
  • Answer phone calls, properly record and forward messages, or make appropriate
  • Greet all guests and clients in a courteous and professional
  • Assist in sorting and distribution of mail on a timely
  • Maintain a library of informational material used in the programs, e., books, video tapes, etc.
  • Screen clients and evaluate for initial
  • Provide clerical support to shelter and clinical managers, as
  • Update forms as
  • Provide administrative/program support for the Regional Director and Administrative Assistant, including but not limited to drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings and travel; copy, fax, mail and file.
  • Keep the lobby, kitchen, restroom, and conference room neat and
  • Enter receipts and bills into computer
  • Complete WEX
  • Assist with reference checks
  • Conduct follow-ups, as
  • Participate in In-Service training sessions and attend all mandatory training
  • Attend required staff
Other Functions:Perform all other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to sit for long periods of time answering phone; able to use computer equipment. Must be able to speak clearly over the phone and be professional as well as in person.Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience:One to three years of related experience is required.Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and
  • Able to type efficiently and accurately with minimal errors, be able to maintain a filing system and have knowledge of general office operating and administrative procedures.

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal relationship
Other:Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.Principle Accountabilities:
  • Reports to the Administrative Assistant.
  • Team player with co-workers and Central Services
  • Accurate, complete and timely submission of monthly statistical reports to government, funding sources, Central Services Office and Management team.
