Job Description Virginia Wesleyan University invites applicants for the part-time position of Administrative Assistant, to begin November 2024. The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role in establishing a system of high-quality data collection and analysis that reliably predicts those factors correlating with student persistence and attrition to drive informed interventions. This is a part-time, grant-funded position. The university is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies, collects, and analyzes data to measure VWU's: Bridging, Connecting, and Building Success (BCB) program's goals and objectives
- Collects data pertaining to student persistence and attrition
- Collaborates with key grant personnel to analyze data which will inform interventions
- Documents expenditures
- Documents implementation of intervention strategies
- Collaborates with external evaluator to ensure consistent data collection
- Performs other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's/Bachelor's Degree
