Position Objective:Revenue Cycle Administrative Assistant is detail-oriented and highly organized supporting our medical facility's revenue cycle operations. This position involves managing and analyzing reports, reviewing contracts, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue cycle processes. Revenue Cycle Administrative Assistant requires advanced skills in Excel, experience working with EMR systems (particularly EPIC), and a keen eye for detail are critical.Essential Responsibilities
- Reporting:
- Generate, compile, and analyze financial and operational reports related to the revenue cycle.
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for tracking revenue cycle metrics, trends, and forecasts, including denials management
- Present data and insights to management to support decision-making.
- Maintain monthly dashboards and reports
- Gather data and prepare reports for Revenue Cycle Meetings; attend meetings as requested, record and communicate meeting minutes, obtain necessary signatures, etc.
- Contract Review:
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to address any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain a record of contract terms and amendments.
- Revenue Cycle Support:
- Assist in the reconciliation of patient accounts and ensure accurate billing.
- Monitor and address issues related to coding, claims submissions, and payment processing.
- Support the implementation of revenue cycle initiatives and process improvements.
- EMR and EPIC Platform:
- Utilize EMR systems, with a focus on EPIC, to gather data, manage patient information, and track financial transactions.
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues and liaising with IT support as needed.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings related to revenue cycle management.
- Maintain accurate and organized records and files.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Director.
- Charge Master Reimbursement Analyst Back-up
- Service as a back-up to enter in new pricing and Chargemaster codes
- Auditing of Accounts and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC, is highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with revenue cycle processes, EMR systems, and the EPIC platform
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices.
