Job Purpose
  • Supports the recovery of persons served at ABMHC with the primary task of engagement/re-engagement and administrative support under limited supervision.
Job Functions
  • Provides Engagement Services to patients that have not attended their appointments, to include identifying barriers to treatment and ways to resolve attendance issues.
  • Engagement attempts and copies of correspondence are documented in EMR.
  • Assists with weighing patients and taking blood pressure for telehealth and doctor appointments.
  • Ensures medical staff have information prior to appointment.
  • Assists with patient registration, medical records, and front desk operations as needed.
  • Complies with Corporate Compliance and Risk Management policies and plan.
  • Participates in supervision, meetings and completes training as required.
  • Provides quality customer services and networks with stakeholders to increase knowledge of prevention, treatment and recovery.
  • Assists with all administration tasks and engagement for all locations.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements:
  • A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related experience.
Preferred Qualifications Agency (Facility) Preferences:
  • Good written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; knowledge of HIPAA/Privacy Laws; flexibility, dependability, good time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of office management.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work activity.
  • Ability to exercise judgment.
  • General supervision provided by direct supervisor and via team meetings.
  • Employee is expected to follow SCDMH/ABMHC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift 5lbs.
  • Operate a state vehicle (as applicable to position).
  • Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
