About the Role:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant Receptionist to join our team at our Main Office in Suffolk, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently.Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
- 2+ years' experience with administrative and clerical procedures
- Experience with customer service practices
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Skills:As an Administrative Assistant Receptionist, you will be utilizing your excellent communication skills to greet and welcome guests, answer and forward incoming phone calls, and provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. You will also be using your organizational skills to receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries, and your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to perform various administrative tasks. Additionally, you will be utilizing your ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to ensure efficient operation of the office.
