Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Administrative Assistant 12-MonthDate Posted: 10/28/2024Location: Ledyard Public Schools Central OfficeDate Available: ASAPClosing Date: Open Until FilledThe Administrative Assistant to Central Office will work directly with assigned members of the leadership team to provide critical clerical and administrative support. This is a year- round position in an often fast-paced environment that requires interactions with employees, visitor and administrators. The successful candidate will perform diverse clerical and administrative tasks including but not limited to:
  • Provides administrative support to central office directors as assigned
  • Creates forms, compiles and organizes data and information necessary for the efficient operation of the office and completion of district, state, and federal reports
  • Maintains appointment and event calendars
  • Coordinates meetings and events
  • Communicates effectively in routine, sensitive, and confidential matters
  • Responds to routine questions and requests using various communication methods
  • Demonstrates a high degree of relationship management, fostering professional and effective interpersonal relationships to contribute to a positive working relationship with Ledyard Public Schools
  • Performs special assignments, studies, routine administrative functions and other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
  • Open willingness to collaborate and team with other central office staff for critical problem solving
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to be flexible and work harmoniously across all central office departments in an often high-paced environment
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
  • Excellent organization, time management, project management and problem-solving skills.
Experience and Training:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of Human Resources and Finance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite office software
  • Frontline, PowerSchool and/or MUNIS experience a plus
Pay and Benefits in accordance with the Ledyard Educational Secretaries Agreement Work Environment: Works in standard office and school building environments.
