This role ensures the efficient operation of the department, maintaining high organization, and compliance with St. Andrews Church's standards and guidelines. The primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Family Generations Pastor, contributing to an environment where all children, students, and parents feel valued, included, and created in the image of God.Core Responsibilities
  • Assist the Family Generations Pastor.
  • Support the overall Family Ministries department.
  • Aid in the planning and execution of major events, including VBS, Fall Fest, Christmas, Easter, Summer/Fall Launch, and Monthly Family Sundays.
  • Assist with organizing major trips such as Youth Camps, Family Camps, Kids Camps, and YA Camps.
Administration
  • Send weekly departmental emails.
  • Write and proofread copy for departmental and interdepartmental publications.
  • Manage fund transfers between budgets to maintain balance.
  • Conduct fingerprint scans for department volunteers.
  • Facilitate camp and event registrations.
  • Respond to parent inquiries in collaboration with the team minister.
  • Act as a liaison for departmental communication with the church.
  • Update the Family Ministries section of the church website.
  • Liaise with the communications team and create minor graphics using Canva.
Ministry Support
  • Assist during scheduled Sunday services.
  • Support mid-week and evening services as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, aligning with this mission and values.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
