To learn more about SAU 6 please visit: SAU #6 Job Description Form JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant to Assistant Superintendent REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent JOB DESCRIPTION LAST UPDATED: February 2, 2024SUMMARY OF POSITION This position exists to support the functions of the Office of the Assistant Superintendent with a focus on homeless education, home school education, curriculum, instruction and assessment, and grant management and implementation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Manage SAU #6 homeschool education files, communicate with families, schools, and the truancy officer, and prepare annual state reports.
  • Maintain a professional library for curriculum, instruction and assessment, and homeless education.
  • Assist the SAU #6 Homeless Liaison with grant-related purchases and reimbursements, ordering supplies, and other duties as needed.
  • Conduct purchasing, receiving, and distribution for grant-funded programs and all curriculum materials and resources, and maintain all necessary records.
  • Complete conference registrations and reimbursements for our Assistant Superintendent, curriculum team, and other members of the district.
  • Provide organization and minute recording for meetings, professional learning opportunities, and community events specified by our Assistant Superintendent and Curriculum Team.
  • Assist with annual recertification processes.
  • Assist with time sheets, contracts, and other related materials for requested curriculum work, administrator mentors, tutors, and other stipend positions.
  • Plan and organize employee recognition ceremonies, events, and implementation of district newsletter regarding employee milestones, professional development updates, and district news.
  • Secure and distribute materials for student welcome bags, summer take-home bags, and other new teacher engagement initiatives.
  • Provide support for all district personnel in terms of professional development management and tracking, as well as providing a point of contact for any issues or concerns regarding Frontline or Vector.
  • Creating and implementing account numbers, funding, and organization of grant-related records.

  • Post-high school diploma with a major in business, accounting, human resources, operations, or related fields.

  • Able to independently organize and carry out projects as assigned
