Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendents of Education
Location: Lawrence Education and Community Center
Contract Length: 12 Month
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
? High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred;
? Minimum of two years of experience in similar/related position;
? Highly effective communication skills;
? Highly effective computer skills including Skyward, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and video conferencing;
? Highly organized and efficient, with a profound attention to detail and an aptitude for creative problem-solving;
? Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, adapt to new situations, and prioritize in an often fast-paced environment;
? Lifelong learner, willing to continuously upgrade skills to meet changing requirements of the job;
? Possess a positive attitude, exhibit reliability, be a self-starter, and be willing and able to work both independently and as a team;

Job Description: Under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Superintendents of Education, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the following:
General Office Duties:
? Answer and direct incoming phone calls, including parent concerns, in a professional manner.
? Maintain office/printer supplies.
? Assist with meeting/large group setup and hospitality.
? Track expenditures and assist in overseeing budgets.
? Provide clerical/administrative support to district and Assistant Superintendents' initiatives.
? Collaborate with members of other divisions and departments.
? Manage Assistant Superintendents' calendars.
? Facilitate field trips and approval process.
? Organize Board of Education student recognitions.
? Oversee volunteer background checks.
? Assist with the District Calendar Committee and manage the district event calendar.
? Support summer school programming.
? Complete other duties as assigned.
Enrollments:
? Manage the CAP (Choice Application Process) process for elementary school choice, grades 1-6.
? Manage early enrollment for PK-1 for Spanish Immersion including receipt/review of applications and final notifications.
? Manage non-resident application process, including receipt/review of applications and final notifications.
? Manage resident transfer requests process (grades 7-12), including receipt/review of applications, sharing/communication with school administrators, and final notifications.
? Work with other divisions (E.g. marketing, student services) on coordination of enrollment promotion and logistics.
