Job Description:
Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of Business and Operations Employment Status: Classified Administrative Exempt / 252 Day ContractDescription: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing clerical and secretarial support.REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • US. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Excellent secretarial skills including typing, work processing and telephone communications
  • Excellent clerical skills including mathematical calculations, filing, computer operation
  • At least one-year experience as a lead secretary, office manager, administrative assistant or other role demonstrating leadership, independence and decision making
  • Ability to demonstrate good moral character and initiative
  • Possess interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
  • Communicates effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
  • Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and
  • Experience working independently and managing multiple projects
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interact with and provide assistance to parents, students, school officials
  • Display the highest ethical and professional behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the
  • Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work
  • Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required
  • Use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information about staff, and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal
  • Adhere to federal statutes and regulations, Ohio school law, State Board of Education rules and regulations, Board of Education policies and procedures, and contractual
  • Enters requisitions
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Business and Operations
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Monitors and replaces office inventory as necessary
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others. The employee is required to sit or stand and move around for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push, pull, lift and carry over 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Working Conditions - The employee in this position may experience occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue. The employee may also be required to interact with unruly children.
  • Driving Requirement - This position may require driving.
