DescriptionOrthoTennessee is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for a full-time opportunity at our University Orthopaedic Surgeons office across from the University of Tennessee Medical Center. This Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties essential to service line operations and support. Serves as a representative and service line liaison. Routinely assists the Serve Line Directors and providers with communication, projects, and administrative tasks. Exhibits a high level of professionalism, organization, and integrity. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Works with Site Manager to schedule resident physicians, medical students with time slots for observing and/or shadowing various providers in accordance with program standards.
- Routinely provides administrative support to the Service Line Director and Providers. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Prepping and supporting Service Line and Provider meetings and communications
- Reimbursement coding and invoicing support (Doc Link)
- Maintains physician calendars.
- Handles scheduling of interviews, depositions, and meetings
- Physician Conference Attendance and CEU Maintenance
- Referral relations assistance and correspondence
- Collaborates with credentialing and maintains provider CVs.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance to KOC Policies and HIPAA guidelines.
- Reporting and data capture support
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of KOC operations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of provider professional requirement.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in use of electronic health record software.
- Proficient in use of various forms of office technology including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google products including but not limited to Google Calendar. Should have working knowledge of computer operating systems, printers, copiers, phone system, postage machine, etc. as well as the ability to assist physicians and other staff members with these when necessary.
- Must be dependable, timely, organized and self-starter. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Promotes good public relations and customer service at all times.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in Medical office setting preferred.
