Location: Baltimore,MD, USA
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm
Compensation: $40,000 annually
Nature of work: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing direct administrative and programmatic support to the Executive Director and Program Directors of Intersection of Change's three programs. This position works closely with the directors to support the operation of the organization's community development programming.
Job Description:
* Work with the Executive Director to support overall organization work and support the Martha's Place, Jubilee Arts, and Strength to Love II program directors
* Perform a variety of tasks related to the daily operations including but not limited to:
* General correspondence and donor acknowledgement letters
* Create and maintain files on funders, clients, vendors, accounts receivable, etc.
* Code and prepare documents for internal and accountants
* Welcome and assist people at the front desk and answer telephone calls
* meeting support and note taking as needed
* Pick up and sort mail
* Maintain office equipment and supply orders
* Coordinate, schedule, and track volunteers for the organization's three programs
* Assist with program promotion and outreach through social media and newsletters
* Create outreach materials such as event flyers and annual reports
* Set up meeting rooms and arranges for in-house meetings as needed and/or assigned
Qualifications: Should possess a bachelor's degree and/or two years of administrative experience
Knowledge:
* Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Asana, and ability to do basic website updates
* Database creation and management
* Marketing and outreach skills
* Graphic design skills are a plus

* Ability to manage and prioritize large volumes of activity and workload
* Possesses training and/or work experience in problem solving, leadership, and conflict management

* Ability to interact positively and compassionately with clients and their families as well as the volunteers, the public, staff, and board
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including editing and creating original materials
* Ability to accurately type 50-60 word per minute
