Position Summary The Administrative Billing Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the program/department. Responsible for the overall operation of the monthly billing and tracking of client services. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- Experience in data entry, billing or other administrative work required.
- Previous administrative skills required.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Must maintain accurate records with attention to detail, even under pressure of system changes, time deadlines, and multiple sources of information.
- Ability to work under the direction of others and still function independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic health records.
- Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
- Individuals with lived experience in recovery are requested to have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous sobriety to maintain the agency's ethical consideration of client care and support.
- Current CPR and first aid certificates or the willingness to be trained within the first ninety (90) days of employment required.
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
Essential Responsibilities
- Input client data for record-keeping, reporting and billing.
- Prepare claims for monthly billing.
- Maintain accurate list of current clients and track number and type of services received.
- Generate weekly reports for Site Managers (E.g. billing errors, missing services, status reports)
- Check all emails and respond in a timely manner.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with contracted partners, including compliance with billing requirements.
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings or trainings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which support the successful operations of the program.
