Description
The Thomson-Hood Veterans Center (THVC) is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a conscientious, motivated individual to join our team as Administrative Branch Manager.
Responsibilities and expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
* Oversees the supervision and management of the following branches at THVC: Human Resources, Payroll, Financial Services, and Procurement.
* Recommends policy and procedural changes to the Administrators to increase operational efficiency.
* Prepares and delivers oral and written communications to other agencies and state and federal government officials on all activities of branch operations.
* Monitors the evaluation process and training of new supervisors.
* Reviews recommendations for disciplinary action and investigates and takes appropriate measures consistent with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
