Job Summary
This position performs clerical and customer service duties in support of department operations.
Major Duties
* Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
* Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
* Provides court dates as requested.
* Prepares name tags for visitors.
* Makes copies.
* Delivers files and other documents to various offices.
* Performs any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of computers and job related software programs.
* Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
* Skill in the use of modern office equipment.
* Skill in oral and written communication.
* Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
* Must have a minimum of one ( 1 ) year of general work experience.
* Must be able to type 30 wpm.

Complexity/Scope of Work
* The work consists of related receptionist and customer service duties. Frequent interruptions contribute to the complexity of the position.
* The purpose of this position is to provide customer service and clerical support for office operations. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of those operations.
Physical Demands/Work Environment

* Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles.
* Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

* Must possess a valid and current Texas driver's license.
