Description Position Purpose: Support and work closely with IMTT Electrical Engineer and Versa Tech Foreman in all areas of administrative functions, daily, weekly labor submissions and tracking etc. Work with Versa Tech Admin Office ensuring that all required reports and Safety Documents are submitted in timely manner. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Daily Labor Forms are submitted by ALL Versa Tech personnel and ultimately submitted to the IMTT Electrical Engineer each morning.
  • Using Daily Labor Forms, complete Daily Time Sheets and input appropriate man hours for each employee in the Versa Tech Weekly Time computer generated program for end of week submission.Forward Daily Time Sheets to Material Expeditor at end of each week for IMTT Labor Report submission.
  • Ensure Weekly Time Sheets are electronically submitted to Versa Tech each Sunday (NLT 12:00 noon) as required.Provide IMTT Electrical Engineer with printed copy of time sheet each Monday morning for his signature and submission.
  • Keep all shop forms (Material Usage, Tool Check Out, Safety Forms, etc.) in ample supply for use at all times.Make copies as necessary or notify Material Expeditor if printed forms are required to be ordered (i.e. MVRU Forms)
  • Complete and submit Accident/Incident Reports as required by Versa Tech or IMTT
  • Organize and keep orderly Elect. Shop prints based upon information received from Engineer or Foremen on which to keep etc.
  • Assist Engineer or Foremen with any required downloading/uploading of information from or to IMTT Programs or equipment as needed.
  • Develop tracking system for due dates on shop equipment calibrations, OSHA required testing of Line Rubber Goods & other overhead tools/equipment.Notify Material Expeditor of items needing repair, replacement, calibration and testing.Items at that point will be scheduled for action of replacement.This includes any hand tools also.
  • Responsible for overall shop cleanliness and orderliness.Keep shop swept and trash removed daily, floors and aisles clear for safety.Ensure that Shop Tools are checked out and returned each day (unless otherwise authorized by Foremen).Periodically review hand tools especially electrical tools for safety requirements (cords etc.) Notify Material Expeditor of replacements needed, he will assess for possible in shop repair, send out or replace.Keep shop parts and materials orderly at all times and located in the required sections.Notify Versa Tech Safety of any harnesses, lanyards or PPE that is supplied by them is in need of replacement or we are out of.
  • Notify Material Expeditor of any radios missing or in need of repair, calibrations needed, or any other shop necessities that come up.
  • This listing shall not be considered all inclusive.Any other Administrative or Shop Duties required by IMTT Electrical Engineer or Foremen will be reviewed by IMTT Electrical Engineer prior to tasks being assigned.
** Position requires 14 and 14 rotation either assigned to specific Electrical Crew or work a Split Crew Shift. This to be determined based upon berthing space and payroll arrangements. If determined to be Split Crew assignment it has the possibility of only getting paid once a month depending on Versa Tech Payroll method and versatility. Position will also require coverage of alternate Crew Clerk's scheduled vacation and vice versa in order to provide 365 day coverage.This position is currently accepting applications.
