The vast majority of health care providers are enrolled in the Patient's Compensation Fund and pay surcharges for the coverage and protection provided. The Patient's Compensation Fund provides protection for the healthcare system, keeping costs down, and providing a guaranteed pool of funds to pay those citizens injured from medical malpractice of private care providers.We are a small agency invested to retain a skilled, productive, engaged, diverse team that we support through training and development, building connections, and supporting a harmonious work life while delivering quality services to the citizens of Louisiana. About this PositionThe Patient's Compensation Fund (PCF) is an off-State budget entity of the State, which is 100 percent self-funded, and governed by the PCF Oversight Board. Incumbent of this position will serve as the agency receptionist and document imaging and quality control coordinator in the Records Unit. As the first point of contact visitors will encounter, incumbents are to maintain professional verbal and written communication, customer service, and exhibit interpersonal skills. Incumbent will be accountable to share duties between two separate work stations (front desk and imaging station), ambulating from one work area to the other on a rotating schedule.AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

Minimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:One year of experience in which clerical work was a major dutySUBSTITUTIONS:Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience.Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required one year of experience.College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.NOTES: Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university. Examples of Work NOTE: Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on several examples of work as listed below:Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data into a department log or database in the servicing of a client.Prepares, indexes, and scans documents into imaging system; may ensure quality of scanned images.Maintains department's records system, including filing and retrieving documents, researching files, etc.Scans documents in a manner that content, context, and structure of the records are preserved. Ensures all documents are indexed with correct metadata.Disseminates and distributes mail appropriately.Prepares documents for imaging, operates electronic scanning equipment, and converts scanned material to digital formatServes as receptionist for the assigned work unit.May deliver and pick-up various materials.Performs related duties as assigned.
