Job Description:
We have an opening for an entry-level human resource specialist or business administrator with human resources experience or training. Applicants must have an associate degree in human resources or business administration at minimum, or plan to complete the degree program in the near future. Some experience completing administrative or human resources tasks in a work environment is preferred but not required.This role will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day functions of the department, with a focus on onboarding, employee terminations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, attentive to details, has excellent communication skills, and is able to make educated decisions independently. This role includes duties assigned and managed directly by a Client. Candidates must have the ability to travel to the Client's Waukesha office weekly on Wednesdays to complete administrative tasks assigned by the Client and attend meetings. Additional administrative tasks may be assigned by the Client and completed remotely. Description
  • Administrative duties assigned by our Client, including, but not limited to, records management, filing, document control, archiving, and attending in-person or virtual meetings.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including attending interviews and career fairs.
  • Assist with the onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, coordinating background checks, and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • Manage employee termination procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
  • Support benefits administration by assisting employees with enrollment, answering benefits-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and personnel files
  • Collaborate with managers and team leads to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Correspond with stakeholders professionally
  • Handling of confidential, sensitive, records
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of an associate's degree in human resources or business administration, or near completion of degree
  • Knowledge of employment law in Wisconsin and surrounding states in addition to Federal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task, with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks independently
  • Organizational skills
  • Collaboration and team skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
  • Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs at times
  • Ability to drive distances up to 3 hours as needed
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with standard office hours.
  • Availability for onsite work Wednesdays at a Client office required
  • Hybrid position for all other duties
  • Occasional travel required for meetings, training, and events
