#CA-DK The Administrative Manager for the National Center for Interventional Biophotonic Technologies (NCIBT) is directly responsible for the programmatic, administrative, and financial management of the Center. The AM will independently oversee the research center and its relationships with outside organizations and internal stakeholders and is responsible for leading administrative operations, education, outreach, and facilities for the Center. In addition, the AM will work in tandem with departmental HR and Finance SMEs to execute the Center's objectives. The AM will partner with faculty leaders on formulating, characterizing and implementing short-and long-term planning and procedures.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, management, or project management , o r equivalent experience/training.
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, basic financial principles, planning, web site maintenance and communications strategies.
  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving and customer service.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in public or business administration, management, or project management.
  • Prefer UC Davis experience in an administrative or research setting.
  • Experience in sponsored research administration.
  • Substantial leadership with evidence of organizational, operational, administrative, and financial management success organizing programs in a complex matrix environment.
  • Advanced analytical and financial skills with the ability to think creatively and independently.

Department Overview The National Center for Interventional Biophotonic Technologies, or NCIBT, will advance two optical imaging technologies developed at UC Davis - interventional fluorescence lifetime imaging, or iFLIM, and interferometric diffuse optical spectroscopy, or iDOS - and combine them with an AI-deep learning platform to provide real-time guidance of decision-making during medical and surgical procedures. The center will support research and development, clinical application, and training and education of the new technologies and promote their adoption to improve the quality of interventional health care. The Center has partners and subcontractors around the nation to carry out this mission. This Center is administered within the Department of Neurological Surgery with substantial stakeholders in the School of Medicine and the College of Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
