This position will be assigned within the Comprehensive Health Care Services Division's business office and will report to the business manager. It will be the responsibility of this position to play a major role in the creation of new contracts, edit/update existing agreements, interface with both internal and external customers to determine contract requirements. This position will serve as liaison to DAC purchasing and logistics, DAC IT and the DAC claims processing vendor. This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. The Division of Comprehensive Health Services is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and constitutionally-consistent medical care to all offenders in custody. The team of physicians, nurses, behavioral health services, dental services, psychiatric services, pharmacy services, and licensed healthcare administration services work together to provide emergent, acute, routine, and chronic health care, as well as preventive medicine at all prison facilities. They also coordinate with specialists and other clinical consultants outside of prisons throughout the state to ensure comprehensive health and well-being towards a safe transition from prison, improving public health, and decreasing recidivism.
