Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Administrative Programs Supervisor's duties include:

* Manage the day-to-day administrative and operational activities in support of the legal services program;

* Serve as a point of contact with contract grantors, other program offices, and individuals;

* Manage assignment of cases to appropriate programs based upon eligibility, need and grant objectives for all legal programs;

* Maintain filing system for legal program;

* Organize and coordinate office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency;

* Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of office data;

* Prepare fiscal and quarterly programmatic reports;

* Reconcile ongoing operating budget and reporting to bookkeeper;

* Secure client and program funds maintained within the office;

* Act as designated liaison for program and fiscal audits;

* Provide various types of administrative support record keeping, contract and board reporting;

* Organize and sort data for the legal services program (in charge of the company's paper and file documentation system);

* Supervise LEAP support staff members;

* Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure the delivery of high performance, acting as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated coach;

* Responsible for the performance management of the teams to ensure that quality and deadlines are achieved and maintained and that any issues are managed in line with RiseBoro policies, procedures and guidelines;

* Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff;

* Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; discovering irregularities; determining continuing office needs;

* Gather, enter, and/or update data to maintain office management and building management contacts, records, and databases, as appropriate;

* Serve as a liaison between management and employees by handling and resolving employee relations issues;

* Provide translation services as necessary;

* Other duties as necessary or assigned.

COMPETENCIES

* Minimum of 2 years working in a legal office setting

* Knowledge of NYC Housing Court, entitlements and rental assistance programs

* Spanish fluency preferred

* Experience working in non-profit organizations and commitment to social justice

* Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate

* Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

* Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to problem solve and build relationships

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

* Associates Degree or the equivalent of 2 years of college from an accredited institution
