Job DescriptionThe University of Southern Maine's Department of Occupational Therapy is hiring an Administrative Specialist for our Lewiston-Auburn Campus. We are seeking a person who likes working directly with faculty, staff, and students and who is student focused every day, reflecting our values of Respect & Care, Integrity, Equity, and Responsiveness. The Occupational Therapy program takes an integrative and holistic approach in educating students to become Occupational Therapists. Graduates of this program will be prepared to succeed in the health and community care contexts as ethical, socially responsible, life-long learners. We seek an energetic and organized individual to support this program and its dedicated students. In addition to supporting the Occupational Therapy program the Administrative Specialist will provide secondary support to other College of Science, Technology, and Health academic unit as needed. This position pays $18.86/hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This is a full-time position located on our Lewiston-Auburn Campus. The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work independently and in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate will be well-organized and possess excellent written, phone and verbal communication skills. The position utilizes various data systems and web platforms and requires someone with the ability to navigate such systems.
