The University of Southern Maines Research Service Center and Cutler Technology is seeking an Administrative Specialist. The Cutler Institute ( at the University of Southern Maine focuses on applied research and evaluation in areas such as health, education, and social services. The Research Service Center within the institute provides support for various projects, including data analysis, program evaluation, and policy research. Their work often involves collaboration with community organizations and government agencies to address pressing social issues and improve public policy. They aim to inform decision-making and promote evidence-based practices in Maine and beyond. The Administrative Specialist provides support for a variety of complex financial and administrative processes that are integral to the successful management of USMs grant portfolio and is responsible for data entry, purchasing, budget reconciliation ($2.5M), report generation, and other administrative tasks. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented who can easily learn current and new University and research-related systems. Located on our Portland campus, this full-time position will pay $19.59/hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System.
