Under direct supervision from office manager and clinic director performs a variety of administrative duties involved in the daily operations of the WCMH Kingstree Business Office. Applies written and unwritten policies to perform multiple tasks that have a significant impact on the diversity operations in Kingstree Office.Responsibilities of the business office including the following:Greeting and directing patients, their families and visitors.Notifying clinicians and physicians of patient's arrival for appointments.Collecting and verifying personnel patient information, insurances, updating the appropriate system Answering and directing callsAssisting scheduling and rescheduling of appointments using electronic medical records systemAssists with meeting patient and families to complete intake paperwork.Enters information into CIS and EMR ensuring that all is accurate, and all necessary fields are completed.Scan and import documentation into EMR.Maintains documentation of charts and other records in accordance with State, Federal, WCHM, SCDMH, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF Standards.Assist in processing and releasing of medical records as directed.Sorts incoming faxes, processes payments and receipts, maintains account receivables for services rendered, post payments collected into CIS, maintain quality control over system input, prints medical and clinical schedules, reviews daily Medicaid eligibility reports and updates CIS and EMR. systems.Acts as back up to other areas of the business office to include front desk, cashier, medical records and intake,Performs other related dutues as requested and needed by Office Manager and/or Clinical Director.Position requires lifting of 20 pounds, sitting, standing, bending and being able to get around office. Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma and work experience in a medical office/setting is required. Bachelor's degree can be substituted for medical office experience.
