Job Summary
As an Administrative Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the Deployment Security Team and be responsible for maintaining the Synchronized Pre-Deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) as well as performing other administrative duties.
This position is primarily REMOTE but requires someone Local to Houston, TX as the role will require travel to the KBR Tower twice per month.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Work closely with Human Resources and Recruiting to ensure all new employees are appropriately cleared prior to starting work, including completion of a Tier 1 investigation or Tier 3 clearance as needed.
* Work with contracting officers to produce LOAs (Letters of Authorization).
* Coordinate appointments with military bases, as well as coordinate with the Deployment Processing Center (DPC) to arrange travel and necessary escorts.
* Use your excellent customer service skills in support of the team as well as internal customers.
* Maintain required training records.
* Multi-task, prioritizing your workload and working on several deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
* Use your knowledge of CENTCOM requirements to assist the team.
* Occasionally work evenings or weekends as the mission requires.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
The Deployment Security Team supports general business operations in an administrative support role. Our function is to clear individuals for OCONUS Deployment. We vet KBR new hires and employees for eligibility to successfully obtain favorable outcomes for Tier 3 investigations, for issuance of Common Access Cards (CAC) and Letters of Authorization (LOA) as well as to meet the requirements specified by our clients (LOGCAP, AFCAP, POTFF, DLA, UA BOS, Poland BOS, APS-4 and Diego Garcia). Further, we provide weekly reporting KPI's and CDRL's to our clients as well as maintain records in SPOT for our Subcontract Workers.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
* Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment in this role. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position.
* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant administrative experience.
* Must be proficient with the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Requires the ability to write legibly by hand.
* Must be able to solve basic to intermediate mathematical problems.
* Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include working weekends when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
* An active U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance or NACI.
* Experience working on Department of Defense (DOD) Special Access Programs.
* Advanced MS Excel skills.
