Performs duties in the oversight of intricate processes such as activities involvingmandated regulations or procedures, comprehensive research, or collaboration with internal and externalstakeholders.Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Prioritizes and manages assigned Mentor caseload for the Appalachian Challenge Academy (ACA)youth participants.
- Monitors and supports the ongoing mentoring relationship.
- Tracks the placement of program graduates during the Post-Residential phase.
- In coordination with other Case Managers, assists in coaching/tracking the placement plans &progress of student Cadets during the residential phase.
- Supports/facilitates the Cadet/Mentor relationship.
- Maintains contact as necessary with Cadet Mentors to ensure required contact with Cadetsare occurring.
- Reports/documents any deficiencies in Cadet/Mentor relationships to Program Coordinator immediately.
- Develops effective procedures to gather and analyze program data on each Cadet graduate's post-residential performance/placement to assist in program analysis and operational planning.
- Ensures all assigned Mentor/Cadet contact, Cadet placement, and other required information isentered into the Cadet Tracking database IAW ACA and NGB policy.
- Instructs and ensures compliance of all Mentors with NGB and ACA policy.
- Promotes positive placement for Cadet graduates and tracks the post-residential activities and placement ofACA graduates.
- Creates/implements effective multimedia presentations that are designed to promote-communityengagement, as well as mentor/volunteer recruitment.
- Will service as the creator for promotional publications that promote the Academy in areas such as but notlimited to Academy Newsletters, promotional social media videos and photography, special Academy eventdocumentation/promotion.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
