THE POSITION AND THE DEPARTMENT
This position provides in-person administrative reception and support to the Administrative Office Suite and its members. This includes a welcoming presence and a point of initial contact for internal and external customers for the suite and the college. This position oversees reception, manages the needs of the suite (supplies, etc.), provides administrative support, and is knowledgeable about the college and its workings.
This position maintains a high level of confidentiality, and exercises discretion when responding to inquiries. This person must have excellent inter-personal relation skills as well as exceptional organizational skills. Knowledge of computer skills is essential and a good working knowledge of general office software and equipment is required.
This position will actively advance the college's strategic goals, including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
* An Associate's degree in a related field OR at least one (1) year of experience providing administrative support OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we will interview for:
* Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all constituent groups, including administration, faculty, staff, students, legislators, business leaders and others
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and to multi-task
* Demonstrated proficiency in computer software, including Outlook, Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, with experience in Outlook's calendar and file management
* Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and resolve issues
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships in a diverse and inclusive environment

* Ability to be agile, innovative, and responsive to change
* Experience in working with a diverse group of students, employees, and community members
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in SharePoint or Workday software programs
* Previous work experience in higher education
* Experience in a professional, customer service-related role
* Demonstrated ability to solve problems with creativity and innovation
* Fluency in a second language
