As a leader in a management position this role emphasizes advancing High-Reliability Organization (HRO) principles, embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and consistent high performance.POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Medical Records and Compliance Coordinator and in alignment with North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency (NCHHHA) policies and procedures, this role is integral to supporting operational efficiency and compliance. Primary responsibilities include medical records management, clerical duties, and ensuring insurance eligibility and authorization processes to support the Revenue Cycle.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Health Information, or Accounting preferred
Licensure:
  • Association* accredited course Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
Skills:
  • Proficient in information technology and computer systems, including but not limited to:
    • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
    • Word processing and data entry.
    • Microsoft Excel (including creating and interpreting reports).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Clinical Documentation Management:
    • Accurately file clinical documentation within NCHHHA time and track missing documentation.
  • Revenue Cycle Support:
    • Assist the Revenue Cycle Coordinator with authorization and eligibility functions.
    • Support monthly pre-billing verification processes.
  • Medical Records Management:
    • Process insurance and external requests for medical records in a timely manner.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Demonstrate good organizational skills to maintain smooth workflows.
    • Use equipment and supplies appropriately and cost-effectively.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality:
    • Submit accurate time records in accordance with policies.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to employees, clients, families, and business practices.
  • Team Collaboration and Professionalism:
    • Work cooperatively with personnel to achieve organizational goals.
    • Respond positively to management direction and follow instructions as required.
    • Actively participate in inbound call flow, providing assistance to callers in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Make outbound calls as necessary to fulfil work-related responsibilities, enduring clear and effective communication.
