Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Office Assistant to support our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. The successful candidate will handle a variety of administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a vital public service.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management: Enter and maintain accurate records in the EMS database.

Order Processing: Receive and process online orders efficiently.

Instructor Support: Assist CPR and EMS instructors with course requests and documentation.

Office Administration: Perform general office filing and manage ordering and inventory of supplies.

Customer Service: Handle inquiries via telephone with professionalism and proper etiquette.

First Aid Training: Participate in training to deliver basic first aid and CPR classes if not already certified.

Training:

Candidates who are not already trained in first aid and CPR will receive training to become certified instructors capable of teaching these essential skills.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School/GED

1 year of customer service experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for years of experience.

Typing Proficiency: Ability to type accurately and efficiently.

Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel.

Telephone Etiquette: Professional and courteous phone handling skills.

Data Entry: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.

Office Organization: Ability to manage office filing and inventory tasks effectively.

Ability to lift 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of customer service experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

2 years Emergency Medical Services experience

EMS Certifications

Basic understanding of Emergency Services is highly desirable.
