Job Summary:

The Office of Student Success is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administrative Support Specialist in our first-year student advising center. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and academic excellence.

This position is physically housed in 103 Legacy Hall and interacts with students, staff, and university guests frequently.

Responsibilities include:

* Serves as manager of the front office desk (greets guests, answers the phone, assist with scheduling appointments for advisors and members of the leadership team)

* Maintain department and staff calendars

* Assists leadership team with preparations for campus-wide events such as orientation and enrollment sessions

* Maintains advisor assignments

* Disseminate appropriate information about the Office of Student Success, university services and resources, and university policies and procedures

* Assist with purchasing transactions through OK Corral

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School/GED.

Administrative Support Specialist I - one year of clerical/customer service experience.

Administrative Support Specialist II - two years of clerical/customer service experience.

Senior Administrative Support Specialist - three years of clerical/customer service experience.

Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and various web browsers.

Must be able to work in close proximity to another staff member in a high-traffic area.

Must present a positive attitude in a stressful work environment and practice extreme customer service.

Must be comfortable learning and using new technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.
